Bzhuzha race camp. Bzhuzha race trainings.
Bzhuzha Race is an international extreme kayak race in Georgia. For many years, Georgia has been known for its rivers, where Soviet water tourists used to conquer “class 6” of these hospitable mountains, and in recent years Georgia has become popular in the kayaking world. In 2016 the Bzhuzha Race was the first extreme kayak race to take place in this country, on the river of the same name, in one of its southern regions – Guria. This year we will organise a permanent camp on the bank of the Bzhuzha river. This will make [your] training and [our] race preparations efficient and productive.
Kayak camp description
The Two Blades Adventures team is the main event organiser. Therefore, it’s our duty to ensure that the race section of the river is safe, and the event is properly prepared. Before the race, you can spend a week in the Bzhuzha Race camp and paddle one of the best Georgian rivers every day. There are three main practice sections of the river, where you can “nail your lines”, get race-ready, paddle with race mode on, and give full attention to kayaking – not travelling from one place to another. However, as a bonus, there’s an optional short trip to rivers Kintrishi and Supsa.
We will live in a local house with all amenities, shower and warm water in the nearest village to race course, but it better to have a tents with you. We can cook food ourselves and we can order to cook for us lunch and dinner at the owners’ house as well.
For the races days we can move to race camp.
The nearest town – Ozurgeti – has one of the best restaurants in Georgia and we will enjoy local dishes there more than once.
