Packrafting on the Adjharistskali River

Packrafting

Rafting on packrafts on the river Adjaritskali, the main water artery of Adjara, the right tributary of the river Chorokhi.

Packraft is a light inflatable boat designed for use on any water bodies, including rafting on mountain rivers.

The peculiarity of packraft lies in its lightness and compactness. These boats were specially designed for walking and water routes, the boat is easy to carry, inflate and deflate. The modern design of the boat makes it universal, which allows anyone without any experience of rafting on mountain rivers to overcome water obstacles up to category 2.

We have single, double and triple boats to choose from (including 2 adults and 1 child), and this is the main difference from rafting, where the number of paddlers is 6-8 people. On packcraft, you (alone or with a partner) will be able to fully control the descending process, and you will get much more fun (and adrenaline) than on a large and heavy raft.

Rafting is carried out, accompanied by a qualified instructor, along safe sections of the river.

On this tour you will:

  • briefing and selection of equipment, dressing;
  • rapids class 2 according to the international classification;
  • a section of the river without pronounced sections of calm water, a dynamic rafting that you will remember for a long time;
  • stunning views of the Adjara mountains;
  • at the finish line you will have the opportunity to try driving a polyethylene kayak for extreme rafting;
  • after the end of the program, a pleasant fruit picnic will be waiting for you.

In addition to the tour, once in Keda, we recommend visiting local attractions:

  • the famous Makhuntseti waterfall with a height of 54 meters;
  • arched bridge of the time of Queen Tamara;
  • colorful wine shops;
  • ziplines across the riverbed

In any of our tours, you will not only raft down the river from start to finish, but you will learn:

  • the basics of water safety
  • basics of behavior in an emergency situation
  • fundamentals of rowing technique
  • types of water structures of mountain rivers
  • get answers to any questions about whitewater
  • we will provide you with photo and video materials that our guides try to shoot during the rafting.
